Welcome To Our DC Metro Dog Park
DC Metro Dog Parks are in VA, DC, and MD. All DC Metro dog lovers wants to find where the dog park that are closer to their home or visit friend’s home that have a dog park in the area. Also the best for visitors/travelers from other states will bring their dogs to the Dog Park and to have their dogs exercise due to a very long trips.
DC-The best leash-free park is Congressional Cemetery. The membership fee is a $200 tax deductible contribution per family and a $50 per dog fee, with maximum of three dogs. Members are also asked to volunteer at least 12 hours per year. (Source: http://www.cemeterydogs.org/membership)
Second best leash-free park is S Street Dog Park. The park has plenty of good benches to sit and watch all dogs chase, play, fetch some toys, and the grass is very clean. It makes you feel like “it’s your own backyard with best view”! The park also provides dog bags for poop and water.
VA-Arlington-The best park is Glencarlyn. It is wood chips-free, unfenced, and more natural with a small stream. It has 97 acres in which dogs love to roam especially when the area is so large, giving them feelings of being free and wild for a short time.
VA-Alexandria-The best park is Simpson Stadium. It stays open until 10 pm and the area is easy for parents to keep eye on their children and dogs at the same time without a huge burden.
VA-Fairfax-You will love Vienna Dog Park without any doubt. The park does have a small pool for dogs to play or drink some water. However, you must bring your own towels to clean or dry your dog(s) before they hop in your car. Also, the park has agility games to help with training your dog to run with agility.
MD-Montgomery-the best park is Black Hill Regional Park. It has 1,800 acres!! Also, different type of dog groups gather to meet up (to check on www.meetup.com) there such as dog rescues, dog foster, and service dog groups to help train dogs help people with medical and disability needs.
Some groups provide water, but it is always a good idea for you to bring your own water.
MD-Prince George–College Park Dog Park is great and you won’t have to worry about bringing water to your dog(s). There are two different grasses — one made with foam (cork type) and one is regular.
